We've come across one situation in ADD with a customer where as soon as the application attempts to communicate with Aperture a crash occurs. It seems that Aperture responds to even a simple request for it's version number with garbage data.

If you are experiencing an immediate crash, we have a small test application written in Applescript to confirm that this is the same situation. All that this script does is to ask Aperture for it's version number. If this works or fails for you, please let us know through our support email address so we can track down what might be happening.
